The festivities captured over 70 people in attendance and 10 states represented. Year groups represented ranged from 1974 through 2013. Our sister school, Aburi Old Girls Association showed up strong to show their love and support.
The memorable day kicked off with our School anthem, followed by Odade3 Sr. Yaw Twumasi (1974) appointed as our school prefect for day, as well as our soccer match co-official. His referee counterpart Odade3 Sr. Kingsley Twum Danso (1984) handled the main officiating of the game.
Our fierce soccer match between the 1980’s-1990’s versus the 2000’s went down to the wire on a penalty shootout, of which our 2000’s team narrowly won on a penalty shootout.
An exciting roll Call and introduction saw Akro house largely represented by the numbers, as well as the trailblazing 2005 year group showing up strong.
Our North America Chapter President, Kofi Opoku came all the way from Dallas, TX to grace us with his presence, support and a brief remarks to all Odade3s to be intentional about building relationships with each other, supporting our regional leaders to grow our Odade3 base via CAMPAIGN 1000, and to reach out with any ideas, feedback or suggestions that our alumni members may have.
Our North America Treasurer, Odade3 Dan Adjei, and Organizing Secretary Odade3 Ebenezer Wato Dadzie were in attendance to reinforce their unflinching support for the great work our Northeast region is doing.
The night ended with our School anthem, followed by a fun and charged morale session led by Odade3 Kwadwo Amanor Mfoafo (2005).
Our dynamic regional leadership duo, Odade3 Charles CK (1984) and Odade3 Bismark Yeboah (2011) did an extraordinary job, working so hard to make the event a success; leading the charge for such a great day which has gotten Odade3s and Abugiss alumni in attendance asking for the next event! A big thank you to our impeccable Organizing Secretary, Odade3 Ebenezer Wato Dadzie for his support and working with our regional leaders.
We are thrilled by the direction and leadership of our fraternity and chapter. A special thank you to all our Odade3 wives and chefs that kept the food, drinks, and hospitality coming throughout the event; as well as our first time Odade3s who have joined our network and family. In lumine Tuo, Videbimus Lumen!
